Kevin Karlson JD PhD (Dr K) is an expert in strategy and leadership development. After starting two for profit and one non profit organizations, Dr K has also served as a Senior Consultant at the Strategic Leadership Center at Texas Instruments and has served as a consultant to Blockbuster, Nokia, Mattel, Cooper Institute and a number of NPOs. Trained as a professional in both law and psychology, Kevin has been appointed to the adjunct faculty at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas (psychology), SMU’s Dedman School of Law (law), and UT at Dallas Graduate School of Management (business communications). He has co-authored two books and one assessment system, along with numerous articles and presentations. He is the recipient of two Teaching Excellence Awards from the Business Leadership Center at SMU. He has been a vocalist, guitar player, musical producer, and artist/designer since childhood, and is currently working on additional books and a Christian musical. Kevin received his PhD in psychology from UT Southwestern in Dallas in 1983;his JD from SMU’s Dedman School of Law in 1984.
